About Meowdoku
Meowdoku is a free, browser-based logic puzzle wrapped in cats. It looks cozy, but underneath the cute artwork hides a crunchy deduction puzzle in the Queens family: place exactly one cat in every row, column, and colored region — and never let two cats touch, not even diagonally.
What makes it different
Despite the name, Meowdoku is not number Sudoku. Instead of digits you place cats, and the “no touching” rule — including diagonals — gives the puzzle its bite. Every board is generated to have exactly one solution, so there is always a logical next move and you never have to guess.
Modes
- Normal — the on-ramp. Boards start tiny (4×4) and grow up to 8×8 as you level, so you learn the deduction before the grid gets big.
- Hard — a full 8×8 from level one, with a single locked starter cat to open each puzzle.
- Ultra Hard — the largest 9×9 boards with nine regions and no starter cat. Built for experts who never guess.
