Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 11, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Meowdoku (“we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on meowdoku.us. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to provide usage information to site owners. Similar technologies include local storage, which lets a website save small amounts of data in your browser.
How we use them
We keep this minimal. Meowdoku uses two categories:
1. Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the game in aggregate. These cookies collect anonymous information such as which pages are viewed and how visitors move through the site. This helps us improve the puzzles and the experience. Common Google Analytics cookies include:
- _ga — distinguishes visitors; typically expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<container-id> — used by GA4 to persist session state.
2. Local storage (functional)
We use your browser’s local storage to remember your game progress and preferences (such as difficulty and sound settings) so the game works smoothly between visits. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
Cookies we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party ad networks or sell data to advertisers.
Managing cookies
You are in control. You can:
- Delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
- Clear local storage through your browser’s site data settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Note that blocking functional local storage may reset your game progress or preferences.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
